"Illusion" Japanese calligraphy









"" (gen, or maboroshi). It is translated as illusion, fantasy, mirage.
This character is written by Kanzi,
Regular script.


In the Far East, we may have seen beautiful illusions every year.
Japan is surrounded by storms of falling cherry blossoms now.


Yes, it seems to be an fantasy...



Anyway, we will encounter cherry blossoms next year again.

  2. I wonder how the character came to have this form. It is not an obvious radical + pronunciation formation. This is what it used to look like.

  3. Mi queridisima amiga Ruma he entrado en tu blog y gracias al traductor de google me he enterado de odo que cosas mas in teresantes cuentas y las fotografias hacen que parezcas que estoy allí mismo.
    Ruma nunca te he invitado a que conozcas mi País cuando quieras estás invitada y las puertas de mi casa estan abiertas para tí.
    Estando conmigo y mi familia no tendrias que preocuparte por nada yo lo pago todo y voy a buscarte a Madrid además mi marido y mi hijo hablan ingles perfectamente por lo que no te sentirias desplazada.
    Ya sabes cuando quieras tiebnes las puertas abiertas las 24h. los 365 días del año.

  4. Dear Ruma, I have been in Seoul the past few days and I saw beautiful sakura, that was planted during the Japanese occupation around 1910. Korea has sakura now and it's so beautiful. I will post many photos soon.

  6. Dear Ruma, cherry blossom falling can have another reason, too. Last week I visited a park in Mannheim. Under a cherry blossom tree I heard some funny noise. I was very amused about the things that I have seen in this tree!!! If you want to know the reason of cherry blossom falling in Germany, you shoul look about my blog and the new header there.
