"Enjoy" Japanese calligraphy 



"" (gaku, tanoshii). It is translated as happy, glad, enjoyable, etc.

This character is written by Kanzi,
Regular script.

Etymology : hieroglyph
It expresses the state that a cocoon hangs in the yew.



The harvest is human pleasure.

Pleasure of the youth.  
A sense of fulfillment aged.


The life is always filled with the time of the crop...

    How different is the japanese calligraphy to the ancient chinese writings? if there was chinese calligraphy infront of you would you still understand its meanings?
