Waving Green Breath

The rice terrace continue to the mountaintop.
Several hundred years are condensed by each of this wave.

The working of the human has deposited.

   The Sun Also Rises.
   It brings up life.

   A human being is small.

The gentle breeze blows from the mountain to the foot, and leaves.
   To where?

Probably to the eddy of the samsara...

  18. R- such a true reflection - in comparison to nature on the grand and age scale we individuals are so small and really unimportant though we often think we are the centre of things. Beautiful energy filled photography. Go well. B

  20. Hello Ruma!
Rice fields are as beautiful as ours, the difference is that we do not use terraces because our area is flat. All is green.

  35. I wrote a post, Ruma-san, but it must have disappeared into the ozone!

What wonderful photographs...the rice fields remind me of my visit to Akita.

Last week, when my friend was visiting from New Orleans, I took her to see my son and his wife in West Sacramento. Even there, rice fields are planted and it was lovely seeing them. Of course, I am pretty certain, they are not using that rice for sake. I really learned to enjoy wonderful, cold sake when I was in Akita and have a favorite restaurant that keeps my large bottle ( too expensive, really, now that I am retired and on a pension - but, some things, you just cannot give up! ) for my visits.
