Maybe somewhere

I feel something of soft touch.
The voice of the time. The snowy beating. The ancestral soul.

   The words cannot get them.

The temple is covered with a silver hat.

There were them there all the time from the ancient times.
They have been living while protecting something.

   It is the life.

   The lovely hometown.
The long history. And short breath.

   Please watching over us.

Here is Shirakawa village, Gifu Prefecture.

  16. I like a lot these photos, ruma! The video is enchanting. There are old wooden houses in a certain part of my country too, but a different style. I googled and I saw this is a historic village of UNESCO heritage. It's only right when people try to preserve what it is really valuable in one's country.

  76. Thank you for your lovely comment! I appreciate it. Your photos are so charming, so magical. It just snowed here today (granted, it wasn't very much), but my landscapes looks nothing like this ... it is just a simple Midwest town, not the far-away and--to me--intriguingly foreign place pictured here. Even though I am sure it is cold, the scenery is still breathtaking. Having said that, I adore your blog title and think that it is an apt fit for this site. Furthermore, it is *true.* There are so many delicate things, so many fanciful things, so many colors and lines and shapes and forms in the natural world that mimic the creation of calligraphy.
