SAKURA season has come...
Lovely hearts wait for at the top of the slope.
Spring letter. I will walk towards her.
This year, too. Again.
Slightly still cold.
However, it is gentle breeze.
Please heal people with the smile.
The petal reflects light and grace.
You will encourage us.
For several thousand years...
You have always protected us and native land...
Cherry blossoms.

Japanese three major giants of cherry trees These three of them are registered as the first natural monument of the country on October 12, 1922.
☆yamataka jinndai "God days" zakura (Age over 2000 years old)
Hokuto-shi, Yamanashi Prefecture Height of the tree 13.6m, trunk lap 10.6m. A giant tree of the maximum grade oldest in Japan.
☆neodani awasumi "light sumi" zakura (Age over 1500 years old)
Motosu-shi, Gifu Prefecture Height of the tree 17.2m, trunk lap 9.1m, the spread are East-West 24m, north and south 21m
☆miharu taki "Cascade" zakura (Age over 1000 years old)
Miharu-town, Fukushima Prefecture Height of the tree 19m, trunk lap 9.5m, spread east and west 22m, north and south 17m

Dear Ruma, What incredible trees. I feel honored to be sitting before their images. I can imagine it must be so humbling to be there before them in person. I feel so for those still in shelters and not knowing if their homes are safe to go home to . . . or if they ever can.

I liked the video of your previous post.
In my city there is a road with each side some Japanese cherrytrees. I'll try to take them in photos.
Thankfully, these beautiful blossoms bloom as they always have, regardless of tragedy and pain and serve to remind us of the beauty that manages to come forth and, with it, brings healing.

Among these series of wonderful photos, my favorite is the images of translucent pink petals of double-petaled blossoms against the sky. They are shining and smiling in the light looking toward us.
