The rural scenery in the Far East

The Far East is a small island, and three-fourths of the country is the mountainous district where person cannot almost live in.


One house among mountains is built.
Because it is covered with trees, we can hardly see it, can see only a passage.

Here is Matsuura-shi, Nagasaki Prefecture.

Inkstick of the calligraphy

It is the Inkstick (sumi) which it bought dozens of years ago.
The Inkstick becomes the moderate it that time passes.
While I live, I may not use all Inksticks I have.


There is the round Inkstick. Various sculptures are given.
This Inkstick expresses a rat (ne) of the twelve signs of Earthly Branches. Therefore, there are 12 kinds of designs.
It is one of the culture of the Far East.

Autumn rice terraces

The green of stairs called "Tanada" (rice terraces) is a particularly bright color.
As Tanada is hard to cultivate very much, it is valuable.

Rice made with water from almost pure spring is delicious. 　
Because there were not resources at all in the Far East, they reclamationed mountains during several hundred years.

A farmer repairing the stone wall appears.
Somewhere is broken certainly every year.


However, because here is a depopulation zone, Tanada will become extinct and come back to the mountain again sometime.

It is fate of the samsara of the Nature.
