"Ground" Japanese calligraphy
"地" (chi, or tsuchi). It is translated as earth, soil, ground, etc.
This character is written by Kanzi, Regular script.
Etymology : Ideogrammic compound
土 (soil) + 也 (The hieroglyph of the scorpion that it lengthened evenly. The state to improve evenly is expressed.)
Compounds : 地球 (the Earth; globe; world)
