" Autumn " Japanese Calligraphy

 



" " (shū,or aki). It is translated in autumn.

Ideogrammic compound    (“grain”) + (“fire”); 

after harvesting the grain, the fields are burned to kill locusts and their eggs.

This character is written by Kanzi, Semi-cursive script.
