"Illusion" Japanese calligraphy

"" (gen, or maboroshi). It is translated as illusion, fantasy, mirage.
This character is written by Kanzi,
Regular script.

In the Far East, we may have seen beautiful illusions every year.
Japan is surrounded by storms of falling cherry blossoms now.

Yes, it seems to be an fantasy...

Anyway, we will encounter cherry blossoms next year again.

  1. Caligrafía ilusionista¡ eres todo un artista. Saludos.

  2. I wonder how the character came to have this form. It is not an obvious radical + pronunciation formation. This is what it used to look like.

  6. Dear Ruma, cherry blossom falling can have another reason, too. Last week I visited a park in Mannheim. Under a cherry blossom tree I heard some funny noise. I was very amused about the things that I have seen in this tree!!! If you want to know the reason of cherry blossom falling in Germany, you shoul look about my blog and the new header there. Greetings from Luzia.

Thank you for following my blog,
