The step to the daybreak

The ray will lead wandering heart to the future.
To warm breast of the mountains.

   Severe but tender.

   Bumpy, undulation way.
   Roundabout, lost road.

Yes, the dream might have been a plaything of the fate.

Possibly the thorny distance might be joy.
   Now and think, isn't so?

   Faraway, the steps.

   大根引き 大根で道を 教えけり
    小林 一茶 (1763 - 1827)

pulling a radish with the radish showing a direction (radish : Japanese white radish)
    Kobayashi Issa (1763 - 1827)

The winter scenery of the farm village is described in this haiku.
Issa Kobayashi has a warm heart.

His sad fate adds to the depth of works still more.
  They are very gentle mind.

Of course he doesn't exist anymore in the world.
  However, his soul is eternity.

   ふじの嶺の煙もいとど立ちのぼる 上なきものは思いなりけり
     藤原家隆 (1158-1237) 新古今 和歌集

Even smoke of such high Mt. Fuji is going to go up to the top more.
It was fire of the thought of the love that I didn't stop rising forever.
Fujiwara no Ietaka (1158-1237) Shin Kokin Wakashū

To the direction of the rays.
   There is Mount Fuji.

   It is our heart, itself.

  73. Being back home, a few days ago I climbed a small mountain, here in the city. It was snowing heavily and all I could hear was the sound of my breathing and the fresh snow crunching under my feet. All around, the nature was weaving magical, white lace. I felt like leaving in a Japanese stamp... and somehow, for a few hours, the snow brought our worlds a little closer. I'm thankful for that!

The pictures are very beautiful and your calligraphy has the gentleness of snow, dear ruma! One can almost feel the promising unknown still sleeping in the frost, at daybreak...
