Etymology : Phono-semantic compound

Samurais had the noble-minded soul during several hundred years.
The passage of times abolished them.
However, the noble passion is handed down as Japanese various traditions.
Their will have stopped in our heart.
**************
The indemnification having been negotiated for end of American Civil War in the White House.
Presidential advisors agreed to the plan to punish the South.
"Mr. President, the enemy should crush it. When I do not become a friend!"
When one of advisors said like that, Lincoln answered in this way.
"When we will become the friend of the enemy, we might be going to crush the enemy?"
The words of the American samurai.

I believe ambition is good, as long as it serves our true self, contributing to our self-discovery.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, many of us use their ambition chasing shadows, trying to fulfill dreams and ideals that are not their own... and by that, ending hurting themselves and the others. We still have a lot to learn!
Maybe by contemplating the written word we can find the path to its hidden wisdom and understand its true meaning for ourselves... Beautiful caligraphy!!
I don't think ambition is a bad thing as long as we do not allow it to take over our lives and we continue to respect our fellow man.

R-So much history and tradition that has been handed down in Japan - it can be a good thing that as the world modernises the actual physical way of people like the Samurai can become a value or belief system also for people today. Thanks for sharing the beautifully presented script. B
