"Holy" Japanese calligraphy
"聖" (sei, or kiyoi). It is translated as holy, sacred, sage.
This character is written by Kanzi, Regularscript.
Etymology : Phono-semantic compound
semantic 耳 (ears) + phonetic 呈 (show, appear)
The cherry blossoms do not talk to us.
They are seen in merely us.
However, they show some irreplaceable thing to us.

This one is interesting. I have noticed the ears instantly. As I am currently learning traditional Chinese, which is common in Taiwan, I am trying to understand each part of a kanji. Ruma-sensei, your blog helps me. Thank you.
