"Pure" Japanese calligraphy



"清" (sei, or shō). It is translated as clear, pure, clean, peaceful.
This character is written by Kanzi, Regular script.

Etymology :　Phono-semantic compound
semantic 　水 (water)　　+　　phonetic 　青 (blue)

A meaning and pronunciation match this letter very much.
It is used for a person's name well.

    oh, i have always loved this kanji - and the way your strokes become full of light, almost transparent, it's amazing, so wonderful...

    did you also post wa kei sei jaku?
